Claudio

Claudio as a Nest Keeper.

"Keep sending me all the information you can find about this mysterious figure we both admire."
—Claudio to Alfred[1]

Claudio is a minor character in Dishonored 2. Formerly an admirer of Daud and the Whalers, he has become a Nest Keeper by the time Corvo Attano or Emily Kaldwin encounter him in the mission The Grand Palace.

Biography

At some point, Claudio received a copy of a penny novel titled "The Knife of Dunwall" from his friend, Alfred, who was a fellow admirer of Daud. In appreciation, Claudio wrote a letter to Alfred, saying that while he enjoys the book, he is not fully convinced of its accuracy, as he personally believes Daud would not feel regret over killing Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, whom Claudio saw as a tyrant.[1]

Dishonored 2

By the time the protagonist arrives at Claudio's apartment, it has been overrun by bloodflies and Claudio has become a Nest Keeper, dedicated to the insects and attacking intruders on sight. He normally confines himself to patrols about his bedroom and kitchen, preferring not to venture far into the main room of his house unless given cause to do so. The door leading out of his apartment has been blocked off to prevent the bloodflies spreading further.

Trivia

  • Anton Sokolov's painting of Daud, entitled "Daud and the Parabola of Lost Seasons", is in Claudio's apartment, opposite the head of his bed.
  • The letter to Alfred remained unsent, as it can be found in Claudio's apartment on his desk.
