Madame Steele is the latest proprietor of the Golden Cat.
Biography[]
Sometime before 1851 Madame Steele took over the ownership of the Golden Cat from her mother and the previous Madame, Prudence. Following the end of both the Rat Plague and of the oppressive reign of the Lord Regent, Madame Steele was able to profit from the renewed wealth of Dunwall, using the coin to restore the Golden Cat to its former self. In those years, she provided the Golden Cat with its own private security, despite the gentrification of Dunwall which reduced the risks of accidents with undesirable patrons. She hired Galia Fleet, an ex-Whaler, and assigned her as head of security. Some time later at the urging of Galia, Steele also hired Rinaldo Escobar, another ex-Whaler, as additional security.[1]
