To answer your question, I believe that I would struggle to escape from a table to which I was tied when someone was trying to stab me. If I did not, I would be stabbed. Surely the way it was phrased before indicates that the Outsider did indeed try to escape? Why remove the bit about the Outsider attempting to escape?
Being restrained doesn't necessarily mean that he did try to escape. There's no reason not to mention that he tried and failed to escape. In this case, less is less.
Didn't he say something like "I waited for the time to escape but when the blade pierced my skin I knew I waited too long"?
EDIT: "Right up until the end I thought I'd find a way to escape. I fought but the ropes only cut my skin so I went limp. And then the knife touched my throat and I knew I waited to long."

Thanks for adding D2 to the missions lists. Can I also suggest that you add bloodflies to the animals list? You might also want to check over the Enemies and Characters list, perhaps update them for D2 as well? Assassins could probably be replaced with Grand Guard, Samuel Beechworth with Meagan Foster (I know Billie Lurk is already on the list, but...) and other stuff like that.
I dont want to rotate stuff out based on what games are recent, you'll have to try and convince the other mods to outvote me lol. but just adding the stuff would definitely make it too cluttered. we'll have o figure something out.

I added the bloodflies and also updated the DLC and Other section with D2-related stuff. I agree with 8-Bit though that we should not rotate stuff. I mean, who gets to decide which character is important enough?
To answer Piko's question, "we do". But yeah, I get what you're saying. I still think we should get D2 characters there, like Sokolov, who's in both games, but that list is already really long so squeezing another entry on there probably isn't a good idea, so I'll defer to you guys here.

Maybe because there were people who thought they were clever by putting up a trivia point stating that our Elsa here is a reference to Elsa from Frozen.
@Piko I did consider that, but the edit log only makes one mention of that, and that's about seven months before the protection is added, so I don't think it could be the reason. I also didn't find anything in the comments (except for a lot of puns) so I don't think it could be that.

I was looking to add some Dishonored 2 info, particularly to the achievement section. I created a user name "Simple Sapien" and added a link on the Dishonored 2 achievement page. When I went to create the page for the link, I found my "Simple Sapien" account completely blocked, i.e. no editing, page creation. I also could not create messages, participate in the live chat, or write on message walls, meaning I cannot do anything to resolve the block on that account.
As far as I know, I did not violate Fandom's rules, nor the rules of the Dishonored Wikia. Can I get some correspondence on this?

I'd like to suggest giving the blade it's own page seeing as it's a unique weapon with a lot of history being used by both characters in Dishonered 2. Can it be done?
I wanted to suggest that as well as pages for Emily's crossbow and gun, and Corvo's gun. Also, the sword should be named simply Folding Blade since it's used by both protagonists.
As for the naming, I would still call it Corvo's Folding blade, because even if it is used by Emily as well in D2, it is still that unique weapon from D1, and technically still Corvo's sword that she is using.

Yeah it still belongs to Corvo as it was originally made for his use. And Emily does have her own firearms.
The sword has no functional difference from any of the other swords, it's STILL corvo's sword, regardless of who uses it, and emily's pistol is only cosmetically different from crovos in D2

Paolo's bit did get too far off, I'm sorry. However, can I re-add the bit about the hand seeming to show some degree of sentience and being crushed? It's about Moray, not speculation or about Paolo, but I don't want to just re-add it as you did remove it.
For the Corvo learning about Vera Moray, that was deduction, not speculation. In D1, the Outsider tells Corvo that he would not recognise Moray's real name, nor even her family name. As Corvo does by D2, he has clearly discovered this information by the time of D2. Can I please revert that trivia point to how I had originally written it?
firstly, a LOGICAL explanation is not the same as the actual speculation, especially in a fiction series. you have to account for missteps in the writing room, like a character "remembering" something that they didnt see
secondly, we (the players) learn vera's real name through in-game material, and CORVO is the one picking that material up. If we know who she is, why shouldn't corvo?
that said, i'm open to editing the information to reflect this. i was heavily drugged by a medication slipup earlier.

i personally havent dealt with the hand yet, i've only had time to play through once, and i just hauled byrne around like a keycard, stole the info from the office, and left byrne in from of the jindosh lock.

You raise a good point about the ingame material. The relevant Outside Shrine speech is during the first mission, so perhaps the trivia point could say that, at the beginning of Dishonored, Corvo doesn't recognise Moray's name, but has worked it out by the time he faces Moray in combat? As it stands, it implies that the Outsider was wrong, whereas I'm inclined to believe that, as you said, the Outsider was right, but outdated by Corvo's later actions.
For the hand thing, perhaps I could rephrase it? Maybe skip the bone charms bit, just mention that the hand retained some degree of sentience along with its power and was eventually either destroyed or stayed with Paolo? It is Moray's hand, so I think its fate is as important as her fate as its fate is her fate.
