That isn't a debate though, unless you want to ask if he is a god ANYMORE. The characters can debate his status as a deity, but the player KNOWS Talos is a god. But, given CHIM and the nature of the TES continuity, he could be been removed from the pantheon.
I now feel the overwhelming urge to double-check your edits to TES. but I will trust you. lol
I've only ever played Skyrim, and I haven't seen any evidence suggesting that there's a certainty that he's a god. ^_^; I don't know; maybe I'm like one of the people on the Sheogorath page who haven't noticed that several members of the team have confirmed Skyrim's Sheo's origins.
yeah... im looking at the TES wiki to see what I had to add to it... and i'm appalled. Sheogorath IS the Champion, the spear of bitter mercy is NOT his artifact (as far as anyone knows), and so many more pages just... ugh. I couldn't fix that much stupid if i tried.
But yeah no, Talos is a god. series players know this because we've SEEN his power. not to mention the fact you still get blessed at his shrines. unless the blessing not working is intentional... hmm. anyway, in oblivion, you need the "blood" of one of the 9 divines, and Tiber Septim (talos)'s armor is how you get it.
XD Saw your update; most reasonable thing there as far as I can tell. Though... It is the talk page for the god of madness.
I kind of thought the blessing might be carried out by something else. =/ I'm really not sure. But what's the blood for? Something perpetrated by the Divines themselves?
And remember, the Aedra and the Daedra are the same kind of beings, the only difference is the contracts under which they operate. The Aedra took part in Lorkhan's betrayal and contributed to the creation of Mundus, the Daedra did not, and now only influence creation.

Yes. But they have their reasons: they theorize (and are probably correct) that humanity's existence prevents elvenkind from reaching apotheosis, and are essentially the nails holding the mundane, corporeal world together. They want to cast down Talos and destroy the POSSIBILITY of humanity, and free the elves to reach divinity (and join the Aedra)
Dance on the Tower.
I think though that this thread is getting too long for the Dishonored wall, we should continue this over email or on TESwiki
